Miznon: Punchy pitas for the returning CBD lunch crowd

Candy beef brisket. And gherkins. And raw crunchy red onions, which are kosher because you know, meetings are all on Zoom now (so nevermind that onion breath!)
The mint lemonade arak was a bit herbal for my liking. I did appreciate that it had alcohol in it though. Here’s to shaking any midday drinking judgment!

Confession time. This wasn’t my first time at Miznon. All three times before though, I played it “safe” by having the chicken liver pita (I heart liver. So to speak). This time I resisted and went boldly for the candy beef brisket. It’s got a bite to it (in a good way) with the right balance of crunch and fluff (from the pita mainly). And strangely, unlike with the chicken liver which could at times be just a tad too much (read: liver fattiness overdose), the beef brisket left me yearning for more! Happy Passover!
