Want to cook amazing food? Apparently it takes patience. A lot of it.

The best roast leg of lamb I’ve ever tasted was cooked by my husband who woke up at 6.30am on a Sunday and bam! 7 hours later, this came out from the oven.
Ok this didn’t take that long to make but it does take practice to perfect the ribeye.
The well-loved spaghetti bolognese gets elevated the longer it is allowed to simmer in the pan

One of the most deceptively desirable things about “modern” living is how fast-paced everything is. Don’t get me wrong. There are days I too crave for the McDonald’s filet o fish burger, fries and that deep fried apple pie… Yet preparing some of the finest dishes requires slowing down, enabling marinade to seep in, allowing juices to ooze out… involves basting, caramelising, reducing, double boiling… Cooking well becomes almost philosophical, doesn’t it?
