Venue by Sebastian. If unpretentious, WYSIWYG good food is your thing

Can and should food be judged by how good it looks? Hmm. This Boston half lobster was decent enough, just not spectacular
Burrata with strawberries. Could have done with less strawberries (even by my standards)
The broccolini was probably my favourite dish. Simply perfection. I would not change a single thing about it.
Roasted cauliflower with yoghurt and a blend of spices, raw onions, rocket leaves and pomegranate. Super foods that taste super.
Tuna tataki salad
Rhubarb. Delightfully tangy
Chocolate fondant. Nice way to end the meal but a wee bit small for my liking

Venue by Sebastian is one of those places I have seen countless times on social media – Facebook stories, Instagram photos… And despite all that I only got to try it out for the first time today. Kind of a miracle really, considering that I was running around like a headless chicken for work the whole day. And speaking of chicken, boy was their chicken amazing. So unbelievably tender. I love that I got to indulge in so many dishes, with the three of us sharing 2 sides, 3 appetisers, 2 mains, 2 desserts and coffee. All in all, this was a very satisfying meal experience, and I will definitely make it a point to return to VbS in the near future.
